Our Owner and Philosophy
The owner and tuxedo specialist, Coogan, has literally been in the wedding business all his life. He slept beneath the desk of his grandmother, the owner of The Wedding Authority and the Amore Wedding Chapel (since 1972). He has watched his grandfather, a retired minister, perform thousands of wedding ceremonies in their years in the wedding business. He has observed wedding styles and fashion changes over the years. To be truthful no one expected the fine art of Men’s Fashion to be his career path, even though he has always had a great sense of style and dress.
Coogan is a perfectionist by nature with a competitive spirit. Years of training on the Lacrosse field including a four-year Varsity letter, a four-year member of Team Florida Lacrosse. Followed by in his Freshman a starting position at Tusculum College after being selected as the first St. Augustine Lacrosse player to receive a college Lacrosse scholarship. The dedication and discipline he exhibited to his team and his sport has transferred to his passion for helping people look perfect for all formal occasions.
